USA competes at WDSF World Latin Championships, September 10, 2011, Singapore
USA dance couples Ruslan Aydaev – Valeriya Kozharinova and Pasha Pashkov – Daniella Karagach competed in the WDS World DanceSport Latin Championships on September 10, 2011, in Singapore.
This was an honor to compete in the WDSF World Latin competition since it only allowed two dance couples from each country to enter. That said, two of the best dance couples were picked to represent the US.
Out of 84 of the best dance couples around the world, Ruslan Aydaev with his partner Valeriya Kozharinova place 18th (18-19) and Pasha Pashkov along with his partner Daniella Karagach placed 39th (39-42).
Our two couples did very well and were competing against the worlds best amateur Latin dance couples. As long as these two couples do not turn professional, they may represent the US in next year’s WDSF World Latin competition.

Elisabetta Canalis, George Clooney’s old girlfriend will be on Dancing With The Stars September 19, 2011 – SEASON 13
Elisabetta Canalis on DWTS
Elisabetta Canalis is a beautiful actress and TV host who was given the opportunity to be on DWTS Season 13 that will start on Monday night, September 19, 2011.
She has already started taking lessons and practicing to get ready for the big night and her ballroom debut on Dancing with the Stars 2011.
Elisabetta Canalis dated George Clooney for a bout 2 years, which is a lifetime in Hollywood years. She was happy when she found out that she was one of the chosen ones among the other d-list contestants that will Waltz and Tango on this new edition of Dancing with the Stars.
George Clooney’s old girlfriend is a bit shy and has admitted that she is really nervous about the competition. She is somewhat shy about this whole ordeal but will make the best of it.
Elisabetta mentioned that she is taking English classes three days a week as well so she will be very busy this season. But we think she will do just fine on this season’s block buster US TV Show “Dancing With the Stars.”

St.Louis Ballroom Dancers September 2011 News
Fellow Dancers and Friends,
As we approach September, it marks the time year our membership dues with STLBD are renewed. Recently, the board
made an analysis of our expenses and revenue and found we need to raise our annual membership dues per household to
$15. It is the only way we can continue to provide the resources we do to our dance community. Fortunately, it is only once
a year and you will still receive a discount on our class offerings by maintaining your membership. A single person need only
take three classes per year to recoup the membership cost .
Tuition for classes remains the same — $30 for members and $35 for non-members who pay in advance. With the high
quality of instruction offered at our classes, this is a wonderful deal. Please help spread the word about our classes, particularly
those interested in the beginning classes.
The board has also found it necessary to increase the cost of admission to $10 for our monthly dance. We believe it is a
nominal adjustment for the great music, snacks and drinks which accompany a wonderful environment to share our dance
knowledge with friends who do the same. At some of the dances throughout the year, the club incurred some fi nancial loss
and this small increase will help us break even at all dances.
Thank you to those who attended the Crestwood competition which ended being an enjoyable and successful effort for

The September Dance promises to be an
exciting one. The dance will feature a demonstration

Spiro Marko and Kimberly Bolourtchi will perform
their specialities. Mike and Lucy will perform American
Smooth; Spiro and Kimberly will dance International

Michael Shultz and Tanya Taksar Compete at Heart Of America DanceSport Championships, August 10-13, 2011, Kansas City, MO
Wearing the number (#143) was Michael Shultz dancing with his amateur partner Tanya Taksar at the The Heart Of America DanceSport Championships that was held on August 10-13, 2011, at the Westin Crown Center in Kansas City, MO.
This ballroom competition attracted all the best dancers from the midwest and beyond in both in the professional and the amateur categories
Michael (#143) is a champion in many ways and has talents that stem from singing , music and dancing to name a few. He plays many instruments on a professional level and his dancing skills are like a priceless painting that seem to get better over time. Micheal’s endeavors and work eithics are driven by his passion to help others achieve their goals, especially when it deals with his dance students.
He is born with a natural ability to do anything but picked dancing since this was a passion if his and he has never looked back. One could say he is truly living a dream that many of us desired to take a chance like this but didn’t have the courage to take this daring leap of faith.
I know Mike personally and have been blessed many times just by being near him. If you want to be great dancers and want to win, Mike can get you there. And he will make it fun while you learn as well.
